Default Your best fly of this fly tying season

Thought it might be an interesting idea for people to post photos of what they think was the best fly or flies they tied over the winter months that have just passed, either because it made a good pic or because it caused a bit of a stir or whatever, as it seems a shame that some really good posts of flypics get lost somewhere down this ever eternal thread-line. So it would be a good reminder of some of the really excellent flies that have surfaced over this last fly tying season..OR anyone can mention which they think were their favourites and their reasons for choosing them. Alot of really great flies are still turning up of late (please don't include my latest PR in that) so the momentum is still going strong. I'm not sure which one of mine to pick as I have a few to choose from, but I will post it when I make my mind up,

Thanks for reading

cheers

mark

Ok I think I would pick this one, I know it got some criticism for the length and colour of the tag and not enuff jay on display, but I kind of liked the overall effect and I am still getting to grips with deerhair so I was fairly pleased with the result.

Not sure about 'best' of the tying season yet, Mark, as I've hardly fished any thus far. Here's a few that I'm really looking forward to fishing though...

I kind of think that it would be a better idea to post your best flies at the end of the game fishing season as like Rob says you can't tell which ones will prove to be the best catchers yet. So if I can alter my above description to the best flies of the fishing season instead and maybe people could post pics etc later on. phew! thats that sorted.

I like the muddler Scratch

This is the one I have high hopes for on the Sutherland lochs during the mayfly hatch. Very simple and probably been done by a hundred before me. Hopefully it will work
