Default Green caddis pupa

This is one of most successful patterns from my latest fishing trips:

Good looking little fly.

I can understand why it works

Very nice, how do you get the shrouded body?

Like the look of that, can see how it would give a nice translucent profile when wet.

The clue is that body actually is made by green clear beads/ below the antron yarn/ and when is wet the body become translucent and has distinct segmentation.

Here is amber variant and body is seen more clearly:

Here antron yarn is more poor but it works even better.

I hope I was useful.

Crafty!
I like it. There's a use for some of the little glass beads I have. Plenty of caddis in the waters I fish, though they tend towards amber rather than green.

It's really easy for tying and very effective.

Good flies there, do you tie in the antron at the back and pull forward or tying it in at the front and then glueing it
