"Pimped" River- Pennell

Hi Guys

I played with a "pimped" Black Pennell size 14 in the dying days of the season, it proved devastating !

For 2011 i pimped it further adding a mirage tug under the tail and was hoping it would be as or more effective ?? Size 12 B175

Safely returned along with a fresh stockie about the same size who also could resist the Pimped Pennell

Sexy little bit of work there Englander. I might just fettle a few of those later. Reckon I'll be ribbing with silver though, for some reason best unknown to myself

Yes a very nice variation but anything will work up there because the fish are so hungry.I would bet a standard WB would have the same effect even a pimped pie.

The pennell is a great fly and I have quite a few variations in my boxes but I do tend to use hen for the hackle mainly but the speckled feathers of grouse work well.
