Hi another complete novice question I'm afraid.

Can you please recommend a decent thread for saltwater flies(Up to 6/0 hook) that will not cost the earth?
Also what grade would you go for for this size of fly???

Thanks for that thread. Interesting flies there but I actually meant the "thread" you use to tie the flies with.

Uni 'Big Fly' is quite good. you can twist it into a tight rope for compressing wings etc, or unspin it to flatten out like a floss. It's not wildly expensive either. I found this link, but you'll get it from anyone that does veniards stuff.

DANVILLES 3/0 monocord is good, utc 140 or 210 is good as well
