By the sound of the shades it might be worth a throw for Daphnia feeders. What were the fish taking when you had success with it? Were you fishing it as a Mayfly emerger or a general attractor and were you taking Brownies or Sonaghan? I know, I'm a nosey b*****d.

Hi Midlander ,
I was using it on the point for Daphnia feeders on Lower Lough Erne ,i also had success with a Gorgeous George with a Orkney peach head hackle fished the same way .I have only fished Melvin the once this season because Erne has fished so well since July .

Mondays catch i had 7 and my mate had 5 all from around 1lb upto 1.75lb all in water over 10 feet deep.Golden Dabbler and Peter Sedgehog was responsible for most of the fish on Monday though.

Hi Bear, yep, I thought that might be the case. I've done well with coral and peach on Daphnia feeders. It's good to know the lower Erne is fishing well. I met a couple of blokes earlier in the year on Corrib who had boats on lower Loch Erne and were relating what a tough season they'd had last year. Who know's you might know them, Paul and Bob, both work for the prison service as I recall. Great blokes.

I'll have to give that pattern a run, once I've got a bit of dyeing done. Thanks for sharing.

Hi again Bear, does it look anything like this? I've added a bit of chartreuse GP tippet behind the Mallard. They're my own colour mixes rather than Gerry's, a bit more towards orange I think.

Cheers Tups.

Colin (The Bear) sent me a few flies as copy patterns so I thought I'd post them to let people see what his fly looks like.

Top fly is his Gosling Variant and the lower pattern is his Gorgeous George with the Orkney Peach Guinea Fowl shoulder hackle.
