Default Sally Hansen

People keep mentioning this varnish. I have been using a cheap clear nail varnish.
Does S Hansen really make a difference?

It's reliable mate. Nowt special, but you know yer gonna get good stuff every time. If you land on a good cheap one, then stick with it.

Wink Just trust me on this one.

You'd be 'gob-stopped' (is that the correct term in UK speak?) how many of 'us' use Sallies for head cement. Cheaper than chips, doesn't dry out in the bottle, hundreds of 'custom colours,' yada, yada.

"Drop the Dime," you won't be disappointed. Just don't tell 'The Greater Us' what colour you chose for your toe nails. Faaar Tooo Muuuch Information.

Just kidding!

Rimmel 60 second (I dunno how to spell it) works fine also, dries quick.

simple answer No

it doesn't make a massive difference, Rimmel 60 seconds, Gorilla Superglue, and Locite superglue in my opinion these 3 are better and cost a bit less, Davie McPhail uses Rimmel and Locite and also Veniards own varnish so think that tells you how good those two are

Seen a chap at fly tying club the other night finishing a really nice sea trout pattern on a large single salar, with cure goo. Bug bond will do the same. A single coat of varnish to seal and job done. Head built up nice without having to build up with thread, and no waiting on varnish soaking into thread before coating again. And with the colour of the thread showing through it made for a great looking finish.

I believe one thing that splits sally's from others is because of the nylon content it has some degree of flexibility.

Chris.
