Default Grey hen advice

Can anyone help,looking for advice for tying the "grey hen" series of clyde style flies mainly where can i source the grey hen is it an actual cape or some feather from a wing ,any info on this much appreciated.

Grey hen is just another name for a grizzle hackle a.ka Plymouth Rock.

so is it basically just a hen grizzle then i was looking at tyings from north country flies and the didnt think it was grizzle maybe just quality of photo.

tinsoldier hi its a cock or hen hackle, either called GRIZZLE or PLYMOUTH ROCK if you need some to get started give me a pm, cheers B.
