There is of course also the Chinese Woofta which has yellow Booby eyes. Got both patterns from a Welsh International Angler 3 years ago. Its just like you described it - just another Cat/Candy Varient. The Original Woofta didn't have purple eyes, they were Red, but who cares its not what you have but the way you use it.

So yes Spot on - another funky booby !

I've only just logged on since asking the original question yesterday.....my god, what a response!! And thankyou for all your posts.

I've just been watching a recording of today's Tour de France, and the Wooftah colour scheme reminds me of one or two of the garish cycling outfits on display...that gives me an idea, perhaps i'll design a booby around the polka dot jersey or the overall winner's team jersey.....mmmm a guaranteed winner!

Does anyone know the dressing of the Woolly Wooftah (I don't think it includes any Tup materials) or the Shirt Lifter Wooftah designed specifically for left handed casters?

No need to hurry with the replies - I'm off to Scourie for a week or so.

That dressing must be for the Welsh Wooftah!

The English one has a few more "gay" attributes than that one. Ours has dangly bits with a Prince Albert! Ooo-er!

I wonder what a Scottish Wooftah looks like? Probably pink tartan involved in the dressing some where!

Yee gods !!

Seems like a time warp and the debate over the amazingly 'secret' shade of wool for the Peach Doll...!!

There are ano doubt several 'authentic' versions of this fly all of which will catch fish.......at some time or another.

For me I'd go with my mate the 'God of Flies' recipe......troutheaven...if only because he's addressed me as a (southern) wooftah or more than one occasion.....
