Default Wax?

Well I use Wax for my Spiders with Pearsall's silk, and Dubbing,

I have tried loads of Brands, you could say I've been trough the whole Wax Circus, and I must say this is the Wax I was looking for:

I never liked any of the commercially available fly tying waxes I tried. To me they are too soft and make a mess of the dubbing. I now make cobbler's wax and white wax that have to be softened in the hand before they can be applied to the thread. The wax stays tacky long enough to firmly apply dubbing to the thread while leaving the dubbing dry. This article describes the type of wax I make and use. Bill

Ditto, Ditto.

After reading this thread I have started using this wax and I must say its the best I've ever used. I've had a block of each, Summer, Winter and Cobblers.
I've no affiliation with Tango51 either

Cheers.
