Default Capes for Salmon Flies

Can anyone point me to a good supplier of more natural chinese cock capes eg badger/red badger etc for salmon shrimps?

alternatively can anyone recommend a cape that will do the job?

i like whiting's coq de leon rooster necks as they are not too stiff and are all badger based colours but lakeland have stopped doing them.

Default Chevron...

WP, you should ring Christina at Chevron Hackle.
She should have what you need.

If not come back to me,
Roy

WP

Have a look at www.fly-dressing.co.uk I get most of my capes from Geoff I have yet to be dissapointed the saltwater saddles I use for most of my Shrimp patterns are superb. The Badger Capes that he has at the moment are excellent for Currys Red Shrimps and Bann Specials both Necks and saddles at a great price. Need I say more!!!

Cheers Pete

thanks guys, you may just have solved a longstanding problem for me :-)

i've been wondering since the kings hall show where you get your capes from pete :-)

will try chevron also Roy. when i enquired about chevron at one of their dealers i was told their capes are too stiff for salmon work. Hopefully going direct to them will help.
