Default Flies

Here's a few of my recent tie's:

Yellow and Yellow Spider:

Wanted to try tying a spider pattern again because I usually put way too much hackle on them, I hope this one isn't the same. It looks better to me, let me know what you think.

Body: Perrsall's Yellow

Hackle: Yellow Hen.

Black and Red Spider:

Again another spider pattern, this one is inspired by Leon and his Satanic range. I saw his Satanic Nymph and tied a few up, I then added a hackle to one, never got round to fishing them though Embarrassed. I was looking at them and thought I'd try just a simple spider version.

Body: Black Thread
Rib: Copper Wire
Hackle: Red Hen.

Curved Cove's Pheasant Tail Nymph:

I've had alot of success with the straight shanked version and thought I'd tie a few up on curved hooks.

Curved Killer Bug:

Again I liked the original and thought I'd tie a few up on curved hooks:

Yellow Pheasant Tail Nymph:

This one is inspired by Alan Bithell's Bi colour nymph. I'm not too pleased with the thorax but hopefully it should still catch fish.

Body + Thorax: Persall's Yellow
Tail + Shellback: Pheasant Tail.

This next one is one of those 2 o' clock in the morning flies. I was playing around with Bucktail at some riddiculous time in the morning and tried to tie a Sea Trout pattern. Let me know what you think on this one I'm not very clued up on Sea Trout flies.

Let me know what you think of them. Thanks.

You don't say

Flies are very nice, very well tied. Think I would give the Sea Trout range a miss for the time being.

Possibly think of a lighter hook for the spiders yes/no
Tight lines

You won't be laughing when I post a photo of a 10lb Sea Trout caught on that fly.

I prefer the heavier hook to get the flies down abit deeper because their not weighted.
