Default Taking a Chance Here!!!

This is a size 20 midge pattern. Do you think this will work?
Constructive suggestions welcome.
Thanks,
Byron

Yes, it will work, but the body dressing seems to be going quite a far way around the hook bend. This might prevent a solid hookup. With small flies especially, be carefull to leave a reasonable amount of hook bend to allow for deep penertation of the hook, which will give it less chance of pulling out the fish's mouth. Not a bad tie anyway.

They look good to me. What is the body material?

I kinda agree with andreb. At that scale I'd just tie a couple of neat turns of that body, leave the rest of the hook free? I like the look of it a lot. I fish a lot of small dries down to #26 and cdc is the ideal material for small scale. I should use it more myself!

They look good, I'd watch your proportions though, personally i'd be a bit less bulky in the thorax area and a finer body, is that the finest wire you can get? seems a tad thick to me for the size of hook. But not easy on a size 20 I know so good ties in that respect.
