Default Epoxy

Bugbond original has to be the best, very easy to work with and with it being uv cured a 30 seconds hit with the uv torch and its dry. I think its one of the best things to hit fly tying in years.

Have not used it myself but they reckon that bug bond is all right for coating buzzers, thats the product you harden with a uv light.

Default Which epoxy

Bug Bond may be great for you fellows with all sorts of dosh, but an old man like me don't have £30.00 plus to splash out on bug-bond even as much as I'd like to. For me it has to be the five minute normal epoxy, I'm afraid unless someone would like to make an old mans day and Give me some!

I understand that the initial outlay is pricey, but how much 5 min epoxy do you waste, i would say at least by past experiance 35/40 % every mix. Even with varnish you're always left with say 30% waste because it get thicker due to evaporation of the thinners, yes you could put more thinner in but thats another cost. Also all 5 min epoxy dries with a amber finish not clear like bug bond. The time saved by using bug bond alone makes it worth while and because it will not harden untill it hit with the uv torch. I bet you have spent good money on a quality cape so why not this product it has so many advantages from the beginner to an advanced fly tyer. Before i get any comments i don't work for bug bond but maybe i should.

Bugbond has no peer's, but for those who want to go down the epoxy route, why not follow the guy who really knows how to use it. Leon Guthrie, his epoxy work is the best you'll see - anywhere & he uses B & Q's own label stuff
