Is it not just spun deer hair and clipped to the shape of a dog biscuit which people mainly use for fly fishing for carp at least that is the only one I have heard of.

The Barrow Mouse?

Sinking line, ginked-up it floats like a proverbial. Last year it was banned at No.1 and No.2 tanks of the Barrows, which means the old boys, one less this season, have only 60 acres of No.3 to set a rock on the rod and wait for the reel to click.

Looks very similar to a well used fly from Alaska for 'Big Bows.' Things tied to look like a mouse.

Mike, it wasn't "banned" but now NO fly patterns can now be fished static, which is the way the mouse used to be fished. I supply Veal's with several 100 every year & this years order is under way. In fact the flies in your picture are ones I supplied to another company.
