Bloody awful, worst flies I ever saw. . I really like the wings on the first two. You tie them well back along the shank. Never really thought of doing that. I'm going to give that a try. Thanks for the idea. They look good. What material did you use for the wings?

They look good, a few questions though:-

What size hooks are those? they look a little heavy guage to me. Are you not a little concerned that they might be a little too heavy for the fly?
Also, why have you chosen an upturned hook eye for this fly?

Christy 27, all the wings on the first two are cock hackle tips.

Andreb, the hook sizes on the first two are 16ns the last is on a 18, as for the gauge size they are quite fine not sure off the make though, and the reason i tye my spinners on an up/eye is 1 it keeps the leader off the water that bit better next to the eye. 2 i also think they look better IMOP.
