Default Hopper legs, up or down? Sortafing.

Hi all,

it was mentioned in an earlier thread of mine by Charlie - hopper legs, do you tie yours above or below? Any particular reason why? Here's a couple of 'above' I knocked up last night

Soldier Beetle Hopper

Oh hang on that wasn't hoppers I was thinking of

Anywhere on mine though , up from the side ,on top , side pointing down , underneath ...

All depends really .

Lovely ties again Stuart.

The reason that I raised the question is that I have always tied them under assuming they should poke through the surface film, although how they actually sit having swooshed around for a while and been slapped on the water, I really am not sure.................

You shouldn't take Charlie seriously Stuart, the closest thing to a propper dry that he has ever tied on is a blob booby!!
