based on the rebel,but with Orkney in mind.

tail. electric peach floss.
rib. gold wire
body. golden olive SF
body hackle. badger dyed hot orange
shoulder hackle. WOI partridge
wing bronze mallard.
legs. black PT.
head. gold firefly.

Nice flee. Why is it orange and peach are so highly favoured on Orkney ?

Love it . Do you knot your hopper legs or do you buy them pre knotted. I buy mine pre knotted as it saves a lot of bother.

Seriously though, I've been to Orkney but it was along time ago and have never fished there. Are the lochs quite peaty and coloured ?
