Default Fly tying bits n bobs

Have just purchased a vise and some tools, Can anybody tell me what feathers or stuff i need to start tying some river dry and wet patterns, Nymphs and emergers and stuff. Also a good shop to buy from.

cock pheasant tail feathers
small/fine copper wire
wet hackles
dry hackles
CDC
dubbing dry and wet
8/0 uni thread

that should get you started material wise, as for where to get it the choice is yours.. theres quite a few sellers on the forum

choose say 5 of the flies you use the most,work out from SBS on here what materials you need and buy them.No point in buying material you will never need (wish i could take my own advice)

Concentrate on tying spiders. They should get you started and do not require many materials individually. Search the forum for patterns and sbs.
