Default CDC and Zelon Wing

Hi,

Trying different combinations getting ready for the Blue Wing Olives this Spring. Trying a combination of Zelon and CDC for the wings.

Second picture is a realistic blue-winged olive.

nice fly mate.. wouldnt look half as good without the mix of CDC, that will def get a bite or two the zelon helps keep the CDC from getting waterlogged and flopping down..
nothing better than a well thought out fly one thing id do is put a turn of thread under the tail to slighty lift it, tye one like that for a trial..
top marks from me mate

Thanks Emerger. Yes, I often prop the tails. Will do that on the next one.

Mmmm,

That is rather lovely! I do like 'dun' in general but I think that mix of materials really enhances the filmy transparency of the colour even more.

Thanks for the inspiration,

Andy
