Default Mayfly - Any Ideas

Any ideas on a name and a recipe for this Mayfly ?

It's not a quiz, I obtained the fly a few years ago and was looking to tie some. Thought it might be of the Lough Arrow Genre ?

Is it not just a yellow may that has been beaten up by the trout and the tail has gone and the palmer trashed.

There's no Palmer. Front/ head hackle which I think is yellow partridge then what seems to be a brown shoulder hackle, yellow body, gold oval rib. Then, this is the funny part, it's as though the butt is tied as though it's like a thorax case with maybe a badger hackle pulled down and then a badger hackle fibre tail ?

Looks like some of the fibre ends got too close to a heat source at some point so are not supposed to be like that. I have another couple but this was the biggest so I used it for photography purposes.

Yes, that's very much like it, it's as though the butt is tied like a hares ear nymph with a hackle thrown in ?

Would be nice if someone could name this and give a bit of information on it. I think the flees came from Cafaro's in Glasgow.

So it seems like it is an interpritation of a hatching mayfly then.

Follow the step by step for tying the back end of this one just add the tail before the cover and a hackle after the cover.
