Default Cat Muddler

I've always liked the Flou green - Flou Red - White themed 'Competition Cat' style flies... equally good for browns and bows. When I'm just after wild browns though, on a pleasure day they just seem a little too reminiscent of competative days afloat, wondering and worrying where my next fish is coming from. So I toned it down a bit last year with a 'Cat Dabbler', which did very well here and there, right through the season...

Decided to muddle it last night, but couldn't settle on the colour scheme... definately didn't want a bright red head, so opted for white, and popped the bright red in the tail in the form of a GP crest, along with a chartreuse one for good measure! Altered the body on the muddled version too - chartreuse holo - as opposed to the dubbed seals fur body on the dabbler. Both have the white marabou wing for little wow and flutter!

Stunning fly. You must have Orcadian ancestry, its the white muddler head thing, can transform a good fly in to a stonker,
Cheers Ken

Shades of Harry - that one will certainly wake the fish up.

Can you name a fly with a white muddler head that predates that well known Shetland fly Norski Lad?

Crikey Rob, it looks like the contents of a tart's handbag after a set-to with the door-staff.

Beautiful mate.

Lovely Rob. Really like the colours. Quick question, where do you get your dyed CP crests from?
