I've always liked the Flou green - Flou Red - White themed 'Competition Cat' style flies... equally good for browns and bows. When I'm just after wild browns though, on a pleasure day they just seem a little too reminiscent of competative days afloat, wondering and worrying where my next fish is coming from. So I toned it down a bit last year with a 'Cat Dabbler', which did very well here and there, right through the season...
Decided to muddle it last night, but couldn't settle on the colour scheme... definately didn't want a bright red head, so opted for white, and popped the bright red in the tail in the form of a GP crest, along with a chartreuse one for good measure! Altered the body on the muddled version too - chartreuse holo - as opposed to the dubbed seals fur body on the dabbler. Both have the white marabou wing for little wow and flutter!
