Default One for Midlander: Sir Henry Redvers Buller

Click the image to open in full size.

Dressing:

Hook: Kawasaki 750, size 10

Thread: The Celebrated Talbot Machine Twist, Shade 10

Tail: Arctic redpoll crest, over Lady Amherst pheasant tippet coloured with an Oatmeal Letraset marker

Body: 23% wool from the scrotum of a honey badger, steeped in pig's urine for one year; 31% Krakatoa, East of Java-dyed apricot Kapok; 46% contents of the Hoover bag

Body hackle: La Fayette's jungle fowl

Rib: 4.75 turns of ginger wire

Under-wing: Red-crested pochard flank, dyed coronal mass ejection

Over-wing: Swinhoe's storm petrel, 4th secondary. (Note: if Swinhoe's storm petrel is unavailable, Wilson's storm petrel makes a suitable, if slightly inferior substitute)

Head hackle: Cabot's tragopan breast feather

Cheeks: jungle cock, mottled with a Pantone pen, shade 463-M

I like it.

Col

I'm sure that will be fine Rob. I don't think the fish will see any difference.

Interesting mix Col, surprised at the use of the Lafayette. Unfortunately I've just emptied the hoover, will blue naval fluff do? Got everything else but need to get the Pantone marker.
