Not very keen on snatchers as a rule but that one Rob put up last week put me in mind of the big Loch Leven curlies. This one has a couple wee tweaks......just enough to warrant a post....

Hook: Kamasan B-100 size 10.
Body: Rootbeer MOP.
Body Hackle:Sooty Olive genetic cock saddle.
Rib: Dark brown copper wire.
Thorax: Orkney peach SF.
Head Hackles: Hot Olive greenwell hen with two turns of WOI Grizzle Hen in front.

Thats a great looking fly Jimmy
Is that some jc I see at the back of the thorax.
Unlike yourself I enjoy fishing snatchers but they mainly tend to be of the black variety.

Cheers dabhoy.......aye JC in there.Must admit,I never saw enough of a difference between snatchers and the skinny sparse dressed palmers that I already had.Every now and then though, the odd one comes along and catches yer eye...

Another fly I never see over on this side, but I think I should give it a try in the lakes. Jimmy, very well tied and great colour combinations. I Like this buggy lil critter

I should have added this in my other post regarding the rootbeer.
Is it a mixed colour as I can see shades of light browns and olive in it and where did you get it

Thats a cracker Jimmy, really nice mix of colours.

How come every nice fly on here at the moment has Orkney peach in it? - don't you know what a pain it is to dye!

Seems to be difficult stuff to get a hold of.I was really lucky,Silversedge happened to have some spare at the time and very generously sent me a hank of it.Lakeland Fly tying stock it I think.

Looking at Neil MacDonald's Orkney Peach, seems to be a mixture of Sunburst and pale Orange seal fur in his Orkney Peach Half Hogs...
