Default Invicta and Friend

A couple of totally different flees, the first is a traditionally tied Invicta and the second is a wee lure I'm going to call Ice and Fire.

Not a bad effort with the Invicta Don , the wing needs a bit of work with maybe lowering the angle and a little more depth I would also try some black or red thread for the contrast.

Fair points, In my defence the hen pheasant tail feathers I have are absolutely ****, I got them from a kit I bought ( think it was Lureflash )when I started tying again.

Re. the thread, I was trying to keep to suggested tyings. One said yellow thread, the other said brown, I went with yellow.
