had spare time and felt brave, pics still a bit "blurry" but im gettin there

FFS just realised how blurry!!!!!! need to keep working on it. Off on holiday to spain for a few days, back to drawing board when home.

Getting there Scott maybe a bit shorter on the cloak and get some bronze mallard which with look more aesthetically pleasing.

..and pull back a bit when taking your picture. You seem to be closer than the minimum focal length for your lens. You may have to crop the picture afterwards to lose the empty space but you'll get much more detail.

If you haven't got a tripod of any sort just leaning the camera, or even your elbow(s), on something solid will reduce camera shake, which is exaggerated in Macro mode.

I've never tied a dabbler so I can't offer any criticism there.

that is bronze mallard kev, do you mean a darker feather would be better? Point taken bout the cloak, iv a bad habit of that. practice, practice and a bit more practice should sort that out

It must be the photo as it looks more of the silver variety

i think i should have selected a darker feather looking at it now kev, ill be back with this one.............................
