Default decent fly tying books

well i bit the bullet and bought myself a complete fly tying outfit off ebay got a canny good bargin fly tying equipment on eBay (end time 13-Feb-11 16:40:24 GMT)
im now after some books to help me start tying flies as only ever tied lures before if anyone has any recomendations i would be very gratefull thanks

Books are fine but tying videos are much better in all sorts of ways. You should look no further than Davie McPhail's videos. There is a wide range of flies to follow and tie to suit the beginner and progressive tyer. I know that my tying improved by watching Davie McPhails videos. You can view them here on his You Tube Channel..................

Also "A Guide to Tying North Country Flies" book in the same format is excellent and I did so well on them last year.

Another vote for the bible also IRISH TROUT AND SALMON FLIES by EJ MALONE. Great book if you can get you hands on it.

Look on www.totalflyfisher.com, loads of fly tying tutorials, with many popular patterns, hint, hint!
