Default The chuffer

Tied on a Kamasan B405 size 12.

I'm thinking about tying a Macaw Dabbler, I believe I need a peacock feather and a saddle hackle and bronze mallard. Wondered if anyone knows what kind of peacock feathers are used for this.

A great looking fly, is the body a mix of orange and red? This looks a deadly pattern, I would certainly like to give this a try or two.

Thanks stig and doonicus.
The body is actually red hare mixed with natural hare with bronze mallard for the tail and ribbed with fine gold oval tinsel. A nicely marked partridge hackle from the breast for the neck hackle and a furnace cock hackle for the palmering and bronze mallard wing (although I used bronze mallard sub) red thread 6/0.

cheers

mark
