Fixed that for you
Not too bad looking I would prefer the hackle to be slightly shorter though about 1 1/2 times the gape but it does come down to preference

Hi Wstorrar, as Kev says, a lot is down to personal preference and how you like to fish your snatchers, but I agree that the hackle is just too much.

Try going shorter, and stripping the hackle down one side aswell.

Here's something to give you a rough guide...

It's quite versatile Daniel, and your scenario of a top droppper when buzzer fishing is a perfectly good one. Mostly though, I tend to fish a team of three, on a floater or a 'tip' of some description, or sometimes a slow inter. My m.o. is to whack 'em out and let them settle for a few moments and fish dry-ish, then start a slow fig 8 and have them fishing in the top couple of inches. Some folk fish Snatchers on full blown sinkers and sometimes with a bit of pace too... and they work. Not for me though; to my mind a fly like this belongs in the top few inches, being worked slowly.

Much better! Now, just slim the body down a tiny wee bit, and rag the seals fur out
