Top pic looks like your best photo so far, the fly is nice and fishable but whats the hook, looks a bit chunky for my liking along with the body but not a bad fly

Try 170 or 160 you need less cdc to keep them up

You should have no problems floating B175s in 14,16 with cdc.
One thing i would say imho i would slim the bodies down a fair bit,try using a 1/3rd of the amount of dubbing you are using(less is more).

B400 make relatively good straight emerger hooks. Bit lighter than B175 but a similar profile. Never had one straighten out on me yet and landed an 8lber from Bewl on one last year.
