Default You are never to old to learn something new

I thought I knew most thing about flytying having tied for over 40 years and also running a tying Class but my branch of the guild had Chris Reeves as the guest speaker last night and I'm glad to say that I learnt quite a few little tricks and finally got hold of some Tasser wire for my deep nymphs.

Thanks Chris that was a most imformative evening.

Tasser wire is a copper wire with a plastic coat (that way you only shock the intended victim/criminal) but the advantage is that the underbody shows through the plastic coating which gives you a whole range of colour/flash options , I beleive Chris has already posted about it on here.

Acquired some Tasser wire a while back (not by way of its normal use I might add) but found it difficult to work with and too thick. Found buzzer tube and inserting my own choice of holo' easier.

Interested to see some patterns with it incorporated.

Glad you enjoyed the evening, its always nice to get a bit of feedback.
Its a good little club you have there, a good standard of questions from the floor and a nice set up and run by dedicated people. I wish you well for 2011

Had a play around with it this afternoon and came up with these,

Click the image to open in full size.

L/R they are Black thread , Orange thread and Pearl Mylar over Black thread

I will have a go with silver and gold mylar to see what that does.
