Default Silver surfer

Ok capnfishy I've taken on board some of your good advice on how to use compacts abit better and took this inside shot of this fly I tied this morninig, as its blowing a gale outside. I can definitely see the improvement and if I can do this anyone can, all I used was the fluorescent tube from my maglamp and a little kodak easyshare C913 digital camera useing the closeup mode and the zoom, the background could be better but still not bad.

Nicely done Mr. Mark
I really like the subtle natural colours. What is the collar hackle?
Cheers

Thanks alot darwin, the neck hackle is a waterhen hackle and a light coloured snipe feather from the underwing coverts for the collar. I didn't want to use colours that were too bright as i wanted to see what I could achieve photographically with what could be considered natural hues and I like the reflective qualities of the waterhen. (am I begiinning to sound a bit technical? oops)
