Default Nymph Experiment .

Just messing about and came up with this , might work for Mayfly Nymph ??

Proportions wrong , would have liked more thorax but as I said just a work in progress ......

Nice the proportions are off but its not unfishable. The main body has a look similar to the walker may fly although I prefer legs on nymphs down the sides.

Looks fine Danny but I think our problem when trying to imitate mayfly nymphs with this type of dressing,is their lack of life. Its plain to see when you watch the way the real thing wriggles as it swims up to the surface.
I reckon the best way of us achieving something closer to that movement is with a sinuous marabou tail and a wee bit of weight at the head.

Yes I agree with that mate , thing is it really isn't worth fishing mayfly nymphs where I am as there a billions of them , I didn't actually tie this with a view to fishing it so not sure why I did really

Know what ye mean mate, but that shouldny put us off trying. We do alright fishing buzzers in a big buzzer hatch after all,and the same numbers game applies.I say if the troot are eating them, they should be catchable.....just a matter of working out the triggers.... easy-peasy....
