Default Ready for a feather shortage?

I was told at the Somerset New Jersey show last week that the latest trend in ladies fashion stateside is "feather extensions" indeed one well known feather seller told me he'd sold his entire stock of flat wing saddles at full retail to a lady for just that. ($4,000 in one go!)

If you check out ebay you'll see the silly prices that a few feathers fetch when attached to a sliver button or hair slide.

FunParty Pack 25 Feather Hair Extension(s) 6 crimpbead - eBay (item 270699339529 end time Feb-05-11 15:14:33 PST)

On the other hand you could collect all your fallen feathers from the tying room floor, attach to a hair slide and give the wife a cheap but much appreciated birthday gift!

Regards

Think you just might be wrong there......Don't see there being a shortage, rather a teeny weeny increase in prices....I hear that Whiting have put up the prices of their Eurohackle saddles by about 40% and they are now retailing in the region of $60 states side.

That probably means a UK price tag of around 80 quid over here.....I am so glad that I am not one of the "Abrames" cult members
