Default Lite brite/ flash bright etc

Does anyone know where I can get what I consider to be the original lite brite. By that I mean the hard to dub straight fine strands of soft tinsel NOT the easier to dub kinked stuff. The stuff you had to rip/cut. Almost like flashabou.

I can take pics of what i have left if needed. Lureflash used to do it in a great rusty orange colour but not any more it would seem.

Any ideas before I start ordering random products that might be it.

I think you mean the flashabou dubbing.
If so funky fly tying sell it and Toby is a great guy to deal with.

Thanks guys it would appear what I have is the lureflash flashbright blend in fiery brown or burnt orange. Only problem is nowhere has it nor seemingly can get it. Tried Yorkshire angling but they were useless.

Anyone any ideas who stocks or can get lureflash stuff? I bought a load of hanked lite brite, ice dub and whatever else I could find but they aren't the same.

This particular colour makes a mean dabbler.

Was in Hobby Craft last weekend and bought a bag of Angelina Fibres.
Very similar to lite Brite and a good price for a big bag.
Not exactly what you are looking for but have a look at some of the colours.

Thumbs down

Try Celtic Flycraft. They advertise "Lite Brite" metallic dubbing on their
website & have a colour described as copper.
hope this helps, happy hunting
