Default for all you partridge sld fans

being a fan of partridge sld"s for the majority of my upwing/caddis drys i was interested when i came across these

Akita AK 503BL (25) - Taimen | Fly Fishing | Fly Tying

slightly shorter shank and more of a pronounced turned down eye but otherwise very similar, and at a very competative price.. used them for the second half of last season on dries, bead heads and some spiders with very positive results...flies that were left in their slots in the boxes over the winter showed no signs of rust.for the price advertised they are a bargain.

trout season opens in a 2 weeks so will give them another good bash this year

do you not find SLD's a bit soft? Whenever i've hooked a stuillwater trout with them they straighten -you can bend em back 2-3 times then they snap...

Or is that just me
