Default Teal and red

After attending my Angling Club's AGM this afternoon , one of the Clubs eldery gentlemen gave me a bag of fly tying materials. Among the goodies was a nice wee bag of teal. I utilized it tonight....

I used a similar fly with a mallard wing to great effect during a midge hatch at my local water, although your fly has a better wing, mine was more like a hackle before the fish got it

Well you got the gentleman bit correct but I'm at a loss as to what "eldery" is. If it's what I think it is I'll have you know that this mature fisher still feels like an eighteen year old (but I can't find one to let me prove it).

Nice wee tie Allan
Teal does have a nice look to it . I tie a few flies using it along with some dyed teal as well.

Wink Teal & Red

Nice fly Allan, I tie them with various coloured bodies, a great fly when the trout are feeding on shrimp
