Have you used different hooks, Fly A looks odd around the thorax or is it just the photo angle?

Dave

Nicely dressed both flies

They are tied on two different hooks. Fly A is on a Guru QM1 #14 and Fly B is on an Emerger #12

Both flies are well tied as far as Im concened
Im not sure that the 1st hook is the best for what you are tying but I could be wrong I would also have made the body a little longer

Agreed that the body for Fly A should possibly be a bit longer and I plan on tying one to see what the difference looks like. Now just need to wait till pay day for going out and giving these a test and see how they perform.

Chirpy

PS thanks to everyone for the feedback so far.

Not much wrong with them mate.
Would question the weight of the first hook though, looks a little "meaty"

Personally I would have fly 2 with a slimmer body then the thorax area would be more apparent.

Also a turn or two less of hackle on both flies would be my choice.

the hook on the first fly looks odd, apart from that they are really well tied. jon.
