Default Michigan blueback pheasant

anybody know a good pattern to tie with these feathers. really nice rump feathers.

Why not try a muddler Andrew

I tie some Dabblers using pheasant rump feathers, The blue back feathers would probably look great

i take it use it as a shoulder hackle sean.

Pheasant rillettes is almost as good as duck
How about a Goats toe, ball cock or octopus?

You are right too about the shoulder hackle Andrew, It should look very well
This is how I tied using Melanistic pheasant as a shoulder hackle.

Sean I Like that fly, dark with red works for me. I was actually thinking of your claret ballcock when I read the OP.
