Having spent a bucket load recently buying all different types of peacock quills and herl and from various sources on the internet i swear i am never doing it again, they are all pretty much shyte (imo).

I am not saying the links or products above are of poor quality, its just one of those things that through my recent experience would suggest its a "touchy feely thing" and must been seen in the flesh.

Buyer beware and all that.....

Default Quills

The Polishquills are the same ones that flytek do, there not very good at all, very thin and the colours are faint.

Graeme.

Thank the Lord ... and thanks busbiegaz !!!

No more messing around sripping quills. I love the material for tying, but tend to avoid it because of the hassle.

Not for much longer ... my order is in.

Agree with the boys most of the stripped quills purchased are cack . I put mine in a cup of water for a few seconds then the rubber takes the herl clean off easily . Nice shiny quills in seconds

IMO, Lucians are easily the best around.... By a romanian mile!!!! And I've used a few suppliers so I feel I can offer a compared judgement.....

Flycack/PQ's all have plenty of herl still on them,..... I wasted £30 on the FT ones! Still in the bottom of the drawer! Brittle, and dull....... Never again!
