Default Egg flies Help please

Planning on tying some egg flies so what's the best material for the job ??

get some 1/4 inch or smaller craft pom poms

curved shank hooks

and zap a gap

stab the pom pom onto the hook, apply the zap a gap to the hook shank and slide the pom pom in place. instant glow bug. repeat the process with different colored pom poms.

Couple of things come to mind: Zap a Gap, or no, do a tying thread ball at either end of the craft Pom-Poms. They tend to slide, glue or no. Other idea is to take a bit of white 'fluff' of your choice and tie that in just above the Pom-Pom so it 'drapes' over the ball. Really looks like a bit of 'spawn' in the water.

Do note the 'you need very sharp scissors; this IS A KEY POINT, dull? .... you're screwed.
