Smile Killer Shrimp pattern request

Hi, has any member got a pattern for this Killer Shrimp that has invaded Grafham Water down Cambridgeshire ?

I've googled a few, but maybe a few of you local lads down that way may have a secret pattern .

Cheers,

BF

The latest issue (Jan 2011) of Trout Fisherman has an article by Rob Edmunds on fishing Killer Shrimp patterns at Grafham. The article includes three patterns and tips on how to fish them.

I don't think it was intended to be funny. Fact is that at the back end of last season the trout in grafham weren't eating anything else, like it or not, and they could be here to stay. So having a couple of patterns in the box isn't a bad idea.

I found a hares ear worked well though, I'm not sure more specific imitations are really necessary, but others might have found differently.

I now realise that there is already a pattern for this invasive "Killer Shrimp"

There was a meeting of local clubs and associations with the EA, to discuss the problem of the killer shrimp! Seems that no-one body or branch of water authorities - environment agencies - conservationists etc, can find a solution to the problem of the killer shrimp!

Personally : I was hoping one of the official bodies would have found a way of eradicating this invading shrimp from our waters! Just another serious problem for our fragile watery environment!

Lets hope that any pattern of this killer shrimp, becomes de,funked and un-fishable pretty soon! That would mean a total eradication from our waters of this unwanted invader.

Check out March Total Flyfisher, how Grafham will fish on opening day and the new Killer shrimp.

I'm sure you'll like it!
