Default Moths in your tying materials

Long story but i was looking at a pair of partridge wings that had been left out in the garage for some time.
I noticed that something had been eating away at them and then it popped it's head out.

Luckily I dont think they have not been eating anything else.

I'd stored all my tying gear from "when I were a lad" for 20yrs in the various lofts of places I lived during my wilderness years. Came back to it and something had attacked ONLY the expensive capes but left the other stuff untouched - c'est la vie eh?

I had one of them bug gers happily chomping through the cork handle on a Z-Axis last year.

It was my fault though, I put it away with the tube lid left open to dry the rod out but it was all the welcome the little sh!t needed. Luckily didnt do a whole pile of damage.

So its not just fly tying materials, keep an eye on every thing!!!!

The only time I have had that problem was when air drying mallard wings in the shed.
I did have a guinea fowl cape in the shed the other year and came back from holiday and there feathers everywhere as a mouse had eaten the skin but obviosly dont like the feathers.Little did he know that there wouldnt be many more free meals as it was duely dispatched on my return.
