Default Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh !!!!!!!

Not long doing this fly tying lark and enjoying it until tonight . My first attempt at a Dabbler , Well chuffed with it until I took it out the vice . Held it up under the spotlight to admire it and a big chunk off the hook point had broken off its now in the bin

It's a wee shame

Better to have broken in the vice than on the fish of a life time!
Buy some good hooks and stop using those ones you got from Woolworths

Maybe good for release but not for the catch

What type of hooks are you using as I have never had the problem, the only problem I have had was a bendy hook that wasnt tempered.

Being honest It was a hook that was lying in the bottom of the box where I keep my tying tools . No idea of the make or where I got it from . I normally use Kamasan but I dont think it was a Kamasan .
