Default Bug Bond question

Just a quick one for people who use Bug bond!
I have been using it for quill bodies and tinseled bodies, question is do you give it a coat of varnish after the bug bond sets or will the bug bond give the fly enough protection???
Any info much appreciated as always

I really dont see a need for the varnish as the bugbond is tougher.

I would of liked to of thought so but if i push my nail into say the body of a quill cormie, it is as if it was a knife cutting into jelly!
Just wondered how the fishes teeth would be in comparrisun and if the bug bond would break up after a couple of troot!
Maybe i am not zapping it enough with the torch

Bigtroot,

I coat my quill buzzers with Clear Cure Goo (similar material as Bug Bond) and don't bother with varnish - and cannot damage the quill with my nail - so possibly you need a thicker coat of resin on the body.

Kind regards

Does clear cure goo cure with the same torch?

As far as I know you need separate torches for each of the makes. I have only started using the Clear Goo and as Phil says haven't used varnish.

I have just started using bugbond and seen the video like Bigtroot. Is it true that you do need separate torches for the different resins.
