Default A couple from tonight

Here's a couple from tonight. The claret one is based on a Stan Headly pattern from T&S, the other is based on something Scratch posted a while ago, but different colours.

Very nicely tied Steve. Especially the first fly very nice indeed.

How's my little country treating you??

Thanks for the positive comments gents. The first is a middle dropper pattern, I'm trying to knock a few more middle patterns up rather than just dabblers and Invicta's!

Jerry - things are going well thanks, the familly moved over just before Christmas and the house in the UK has gone so we now officially live in the Netherlands which is a bit scary!!! Some things will take a bit of getting used to, 'shelf' toilets - why? and deep fried everything like Broodje Kroket. You guys must be dedicated fly tying over here, materials cost a fortune from the local shop, it's even cheaper to buy from the UK.

You are starting to talk and write in Dutch al ready, most impressive sir.. Ah you got to love a broodje kroket every now and then i like the ones with veal in it, kalfs kroketten they are called. Not to often, otherwise you will be HUGE in no time.. I suspect you went to traditional hengelsport then, that is a pretty high end store, but you are right materials are expensive, and not only the tying materials.. Don't you guys have toilets like that, all i can say is, us dutchies are not that good in aiming look at the world cup final..
But are you staying here permanent now? i thought this only was a couple of months deal??

Anyway good to hear you are adjusting nicely and nice to hear you were with family during the Holidays.. Have you tried stroop wafels or poffertjes (small pancakes) or even worse then kroketten, bitterballen. Either of those three would really make you doubt our taste buds.

Jerry
