What's the significance of the 'JimFly' bit

Not 100% sure on Stan's original dressing, however, I have some in my box, tied thus:

Hook: B175 or 170
Rib: Oval gold, or gold wire.
Body: Golden Olive seals fur
Body Hackle: Ginger or Red game.
Head Hackle: Orange hen.

I vaguely remember that both hackles should be orange.. could be wrong though.

Smile Dressing for Harray Horror

Hi Scratch, re your query of my name (JimFly) My name is Jim and I like to Flyfish simple!

Thanks for the dressing of the Harray Horror, I'll be fishing Watten this year and looking for "busy" flies to throw at the trout and thought this fitted the bill. Had a look at Caithness Quality Flies website and will be tying a few of their examples.

You'd be better off keeping checking out the mags, and this forum first... that's where CQF get them from.

Hi Scratch, I read the mags but most dressings are for rainbows, I'll keep an eye on the forum for any tasty dressings like the 3 posted by Dabhoy, I think they would do the trick with wild brownies on the highland lochs.
