Allbrook killer

Hi I thought I would introduce you to my favorite fly of the year, I call it the Allbrook killer. It has caught for me consistently all season.



Excuse the photo, took it on my phone.
Dressing

Hook - Size 14 mustard R50
Dubbing - fox squirrel
Rib - fine copper wire
Hackle - brown English partridge
Wing- rolled bronze mallard flank.

I fish this with floatant on the wing, cast upstream, both trout and graying seem to love it.

What do you think they are taking it as Ickyp?

If you are using it as an emerger/dry to e it's most like a sedge or daddy long legs but my river insect knowledge is poor.

I expected you to say it was being fished as a river wet or in a team on stillwater subsurface.

Do I like it? If it catches sure I do.

I fish on the itchen so wets are not on the cards... but yes i suspect it is being taken as a sedge...
