Default How does he get away with it??

Patterson, I mean.......and his consistently cack patterns (and spurious justifications for same), featured monthly in FF&FT mag. I'm a great fan of the mag in general but they desperately need some new blood in.

Anyone fancy a go?

Haven't seen this month's issue yet - does he manage to get his usual not-very-thinly veiled dig at Ollie Edwards in? IMO his articles are, by some way, the worst part of what isn't a terribly good read at the moment.

Shut it prawn-breath. I don't have a 'see-you-Jimmy' hat, amongst other reasons. Why don't you enter our Nymph competition?

Is anyone else slightly unnerved by his resemblance to Garry Shandling?

patterson is the straw the broke the camels back of my regular monthly purchase... I could cope with the dotty editor and the gawd awful stills and fly photographer, but Paterson just seems to have run out of ideas in the far distant past and makes up any old crud to get him through the next edition.
Is charlatan too strong?

Without wishing to sound psycophantic the best bit in FF&FT is George Barrons modern traditionals column, the rest is a waste of space IMO. You can learn much more about tying on here than in any comic.

I got a copy of "vliegbinden" free today (I say free, but I had just paid 25 euros for a hen cape, rip off Holland I say!!!), once I've finished typing the articles into google translate I'll let you know how it compares!
