Tube flies for trout

Hi Guys

I want to tie a few tube flies to target trout.

With the hook being towards the rear would there be any issues with missed takes?? My thinking being that if the fish hits it at the side it has a greater chance of not being correctly hooked and ending up coming off.
Am I wrong??

I know the ressie men have been using tubes for a while now for the big bows.

Can anyone shed any light on it??

i have never used a tube fly for a trout. i could think of one or two that might work on small tubes, minky or sweeney todd for example?
