Default One Fly Choice

Hi,

I know it depends on the river/stream; time of year; time of day; hatch or lack of hatch; etc., etc.

BUT: If you were limited to one single fly to use on unfamiliar waters, what fly would you take with you?

Thank you,
Byron

that would be letting you into the big secret, then everyone would know and the fly tying industry would collapse and xmas would be ruined forever.

you need 2 anyway, one for emerging flies and one for the other stuff.

A cdc & elk, no question (I'd probably catch more with a nymph but it's just not as much fun)

Sorry to bother you by apparently asking the same question previously asked. I was not aware of that. your patience is so encouraging to me. You must be British whilst I am an impetuous American............

Well............we always think we have the "killer fly". But, if all of us think that, we can't all have it, can we. So, let loose with your fly and we will let you know if you really have it............

Adams colors klink for dry "circumstances", or a simple light leaded, peacock body, black hackled palmer, pearl tinsel if circumstances scream for a wet.
